SFP+ Planet transceivers consist of Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP+) transceivers, specifically designed for high-performance integrated single fiber or duplex data channels over single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic cable. The optical modules comply with the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and support hot swapping. These modules offer an easy way to install in SFP+ MSA-compatible ports at any time without interrupting host equipment operation.

The transceivers transmit data at speeds up to 10 Gbps at wavelengths of 850/1310/1550 nm and provide data transmission over distances of up to 2 km over multi-mode fiber and up to 80 km over single-mode fiber.

To meet the growing demand for fiber optic solutions for Industrial Ethernet, Planet has released a version of the modules with an extended operating temperature range (from -40 ℃ to 85 ℃).
