Fiber optic components
When building fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) - a system of data transmission over optical fiber (cable), active network equipment and passive optical components are used. To passive elements of FOCL can be attributed: optical connecting cords - patchcords, pigtails that serve to connect the active network with distribution equipment; optical connectors and pass-through connecting adapters (optical sockets) - serve to connect two connectors in fiber-optic communication lines FOCL; attenuators - to introduce additional attenuation in the optical line. They are also used to avoid overloading of the receiving module of active equipment; passive optical spectral multiplexers xWDM - allow to significantly increase the bandwidth of fiber-optic communication line, thanks to the transmission of individual data stream at different wavelengths in one optical fiber. WDM technology - 2 wavelengths (traditionally 1310/1550), CWDM - up to 16 wavelengths in the range of 1270-1625 nm, DWDM - up to 64 independent channels in the window of 1550 nm. One of the main elements of fiber-optic networks are optical connection patchcords - a piece of optical cable terminated on both sides with optical connectors of LC, SC, FC, ST, E2000, MPO, SMA and others standards. For indoor installation, taking into account the requirements of fire safety, patchcords with LSZH jacket are used (does not emit harmful gases and does not support combustion without an open source of fire). Optocon company offers a wide range of fiber optic patchcords. We manufacture patchcords with fibers of OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4, G652, G653, G654, G655, G656, G657 standards in lengths from 0.5 to 500 meters. Additionally, several types of special patch cords are available, such as reinforced patch cords, polarized fiber, Singlemode - Multimode adapters, multi-fiber optical cords, etc.
